The short version
We don't read your data. We don't sell it. We don't use it to train anything. We don't track you across the web. The only reason your data exists on our server is so your overlays work. Disconnect Twitch or delete your account and it's gone.
Who we are
301 Broadcast is a small independent tool for Twitch streamers. It's operated by one person (Michael McCullough). There is no team reading your data over your shoulder.
What we collect, and only because we have to
When you sign in with Twitch, Twitch sends us a minimum set of information about your account so the app can function. We store only what we need:
- Your Twitch identity: your Twitch user ID, login name, display name, profile image, and the email Twitch returns. Used to log you in and show your channel info on your dashboard.
- OAuth tokens: the access and refresh tokens Twitch issues us. We use these to receive events for your channel (follows, subs, cheers, raids) so we can fire your alerts. They're stored in our database and never displayed to anyone, including you.
- Your overlays, widgets, and controllers: the configurations you create in the dashboard. This is your content — we store it so you can edit and load it. We don't look at it.
- Twitch event metadata: when a follow, sub, cheer, or raid happens on your channel, Twitch sends us a notification so we can forward it to your overlay in real time. We do not log the contents of these events.
What we don't do
- We don't read your widget configurations, controller setups, or any other content you create in the app.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, ever.
- We don't use your data to train AI or any other models.
- We don't run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or behavior profiling.
- We don't read your Twitch chat, archive it, or store it.
- We don't email you marketing. The only emails you might get from us are direct replies if you write to us.
Cookies
We set one cookie — a session cookie — so you stay signed in. It's required for the app to work and disappears when you sign out. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
Where your data lives
Your data lives on the server hosting 301 Broadcast (currently InterServer in the United States) and on Cloudflare's edge network, which we use to deliver real-time alerts to your overlay. We use these providers as infrastructure — they are bound by their own privacy policies and do not have application-level access to your data beyond what's necessary to run the service.
How to delete your data
You're always in control:
- Disconnect Twitch from the Twitch tab in your dashboard. This revokes our tokens — we can no longer receive events for your channel.
- Delete your account by emailing us (see below). We'll wipe your user record, OAuth tokens, overlays, widgets, and controllers from our database. This is permanent.
We don't keep silent backups of deleted accounts.
If you're under 13
Don't use this app. Twitch's own terms already require you to be 13+; we follow the same rule.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, we'll update the date at the top and surface a notice in the dashboard. We won't quietly broaden what we do with your data.
